This spring, travellers and visitors to Montréal-Trudeau airport will discover family farmers! As of May 2015, the airport will be adorned with a series of large photos—some of our farmers and some capturing moments in their everyday lives. The exhibition will raise public awareness about not just local organic farming, but the daily reality of farms in the Équiterre network as well.

Through this new partnership, the Société des Aéroports de Montréal hopes to enhance the airport experience by taking visitors on a tour of family farms in Quebec and help Équiterre promote the network it has supported for nearly 20 years!

The Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, which welcomes millions of travellers each year, is the perfect place to showcase Montreal’s dynamic approach to environmental protection and social progress.

The photos capture the beauty of rural Quebec and show the hard work our farmers put in to provide us with healthy food. Through Équiterre’s network of family farmers, people can subscribe to a local farm and order organic vegetable baskets, which are delivered weekly to drop-off points near their homes or workplaces. Photographer Vincenzo D’Alto visited a number of farms in the network to take the shots.
