"In town, without my car!" week - Montreal
A week devoted to clean transportation in Montreal!
Events celebrating alternative modes of transportation will take place downtown and across Greater Montreal. Exact schedule to be announced.
Car-free zone downtown on Thursday, September 22, between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Roads will be closed to traffic between:
- McGill College to the west
- St-Urbain to the east
- De Maisonneuve to the north
- Réné-Lévesque to the south
This international event – celebrated in thousands of cities around the world – is brought to you, for the 9th year in a row, by the AMT metropolitan transportation agency, which is challenging Montrealers to embrace collective and active transportation for five consecutive days. That means biking, walking, carpooling, taking the bus or metro... or a combination of all the above, i.e., the transportation cocktail!
