Devlin Kuyek, Montreal researcher for Barcelona-based nonprofit GRAIN, will speak on the consequences of the land grab on local community subsistsence in West Africa.

Devlin Kuyek is the author of Good Crop/Bad Crop: Seed politics and the future of food in Canada (2007). He has an MA in environmental science from the Université du Québec à Montréal, and has been with GRAIN since 2003.
