Tar sands crude coming to Quebec: get informed

Even if it doesn't spill, it will already have been an environmental disaster.

In the fall of 2012 Enbridge filed an application with the National Energy Board (NEB) to reverse the flow of its 9B pipeline and carry heavy oil from the tar sands to Montreal. Equiterre is launching a new tar sands toolkit to provide citizens with courses of action. You can now study in detail the pipeline route, find the coordinates of citizen action groups, learn how you can ask your municipality to adopt a resolution or organize a public lecture or documentary showing. You can support citizen actions right now, for example:

• Sign and share the petition of “Citoyens au courant” on the website of the National Assembly of Quebec.
• Participate in the civic campaign # directlyaffected on twitter and show that the arrival of the tar sands oil in Quebec concerns everyone.
