First ever Laure Waridel bursary winner publishes book

Published on

Julie Guicheteau won the 2008 Laure Waridel bursary for her master's project on success factors affecting sustainable mobility. Now she has turned her project into a book, Projets efficaces pour une mobilité durable, co-authored with her research director, Louise Millette.

This book is for anyone who wants to know more about:

  • the problems caused by overreliance on cars
  • the solutions to these problems

The first part of the book examines the impact overreliance on cars has on the environment, as well as on health, society and the economy. The second part explains sustainable mobility and looks at what makes certain projects successful.

As an engineer, Guicheteau is interested in concrete solutions for daily life. With this book, she hopes to inspire change.
