On February 18, Équiterre, the Quebec Environmental Law Centre (CQDE), Coule pas chez nous foundation and Nature Québec filed a motion with the Superior Court in Montreal for a declaratory judgment against TransCanada to subject the Energy East pipeline project to the procedure required under Quebec law.

Équiterre will be in Paris for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21) until December 11. Leaders, heads of state and civil society representatives from 195 countries will come together to set ambitious greenhouse gas reduction targets. Governments will also have the opportunity to renew their political commitments.
