Public Policy Internship - Climate Change and Transportation Electrification - Winter 2017 (Federal)

Équiterre is Quebec’s most important and influential environmental organization. With 130,000 followers, 20,000 members, 200 volunteers and a staff of 40, the non-profit presently has offices in Montreal, Quebec City and Ottawa. Main responsibilities

  • Conduct research on climate change policies and transportation electrification ;
  • Assist in writing policy briefs ;
  • Assist in organizing meetings and events ;
  • Other related tasks.


  • High proficiency in written English ;
  • Good writing skills ;
  • Good research skills and scientific rigor ;
  • Ability to show autonomy and resourcefulness;
  • Alignment with Équiterre's mission, vision and values;
  • Knowledge of climate change or transportation issues an asset ;
  • Proficiency in French an asset.


  • Non-paid internship, 2 to 4 days a week, for a minimum of 8 weeks ;
  • The internship must be part of an education or training program ;
  • The internship will be based at Equiterre's Ottawa office, 75 rue Albert.
