Equiterre.org now in English!
Posted 11 Jan 2011
Since 1993, Quebec-based nonprofit Equiterre has worked on environmental and social issues affecting all Canadians, including climate change, food sovereignty and dependency on oil.
You may have heard about us in the English media, but now you can read about us in our own words on our English website.
Discover:
- our new shared headquarters, the Centre for Sustainable Development, a demonstration certified LEED platinum green building, slated to open this fall on St. Catherine Street in downtown Montreal
- our community supported agriculture (CSA) network, the largest of its kind in the world, which provides food to an estimated more than 30,000 people a year
- the Défi Climat climate challenge, Quebec's most comprehensive awareness and mobilization campaign in the fight against climate change, co-organized with 21 partners
We are grateful for the support of our 6,000 Canadian and international members and are looking forward to May, when our monthly e-letter, which currently reaches 70,000 subscribers, will be published in English.
Hoping to get to know you better in 2011!
