Equiterre’s institutional food program aims to facilitate the procurement of healthy, local and sustainable food in public facilities and organisations in Quebec. It does so through projects and services for food producers and food purchasers in childcare centers, primary and secondary schools, health facilities, post secondary campuses and companies.

(At this time, only one project summary is available in English).

A COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE for SUSTAINABLE INSTITUTIONAL FOOD

In April 2020, Équiterre, with the support of its partners, began working to implement a community of practice around sustainable institutional food in Montreal to increase the amount of healthy, local and environmentally responsible food.

A new tool, The Key Recipes for Local and Environmentally Responsible Food Procurement in Quebec, is now available to mobilize, support and inspire them to take action!
