Published on

Actu - Gaz de schiste, Talisman, Le Devoir

The call for a moratorium on shale gas development in Quebec will reach new heights on June 18.

Equiterre will join thousands of citizens from across the province – environmental coalitions, citizens' groups, political leaders, etc. – for a protest march in downtown Montreal.

We are asking the government for:

  • an immediate ban on fracking
  • assurance that the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) process will be rigourous, public and transparent
  • a more credible and representative evaluation committee

Join us!

Place: Corner of René-Lévesque and St-Urbain (Place des Arts metro)
Time: Saturday June 18 at 2 p.m. Walk towards the premier's Montreal office (corner Sherbooke and McGill College) leaves at 2:30 p.m.
