Ce rapport d'Équiterre et du Center for Trade Policy and Law se penche sur les obstacles et barrières au développement et à l’expansion des systèmes alimentaires locaux, tels que perçus par les militants et les organisations qui constituent le mouvement pour une alimentation alternative. Une revue de littérature a été complétée avec les récits des acteurs du Québec et de l’Ontario. Cette analyse compare les différentes expériences des initiatives d’alimentation locale dans les deux provinces et en tire quelques leçons et pistes d’action.
This paper by Equiterre and the Center for Trade Policy and Law examines the barriers to the scaling up of local food initiatives as reported by food movement activists and organisations themselves. In addition to obtaining a narrative account of barriers and soliciting a few policy suggestions "from the horse’s mouth" that complement our previous literature review, we were able to compare experiences across the provinces of Quebec and Ontario. Our analysis draws some lessons learned from the diverging policies in the two provinces and identifies a few key areas for action.
