On September 12, Equiterre cofounder Laure Waridel received the Order of Canada for her outstanding contribution to the environmental and social movement. The Board of Directors and entire team at Equiterre would like to congratulate Waridel, activist and speaker extraordinaire, on her success.
Waridel's research, publications and, above all, her infectious enthusiasm have advanced many issues in Quebec, notably fair trade, organic agriculture, and, more broadly, responsible consumption as a whole.
True to her style, Laure took advantage of the occasion to publish an article questioning the social and environmental positions of the government, "Pour une Patrie meilleure" (in French only).
