Valérie holds a Bachelor's degree in International Development with a minor in Environmental Studies from the University of Ottawa. Through this education and her travels in developing countries, such as Tanzania where she worked as an intern with a socio-economic development organization, she has developed a keen interest in environmental and climate justice issues.
She is currently awaiting her Master's degree in Environment and Sustainable Development, with a specialization in social issues and governance, at the Université de Montréal. She first joined Équiterre in the fall of 2020 as an intern in sustainable mobility, which led her to focus on the social and environmental implications of transportation in her final master's paper and in her new position as a sustainable mobility advisor.
