CONTEST: CARSHARING / TRANSPORTATION MIX 2026
1. CONTEST PERIOD
The Carsharing / Transportation Mix contest, organized by Équiterre in partnership with Communauto, runs from April 15, 2026, to May 15, 2026, in the province of Quebec.
2. ENTRY TERMS
To be eligible for the contest, you must meet the eligibility requirements and complete the entry form during the contest period.
By submitting your entry, you acknowledge that you have read these official contest rules and agree to comply with them.
Limit of one entry per person and per email address for the duration of the contest, regardless of the number of email addresses held by the participant.
3. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for the contest prize, each participant must meet the following conditions:
Be 19 years of age or older at the time of entry;
Have been residing in Quebec for less than 5 years;
Live in an area served by Communauto at the time of entry;
Meet Communauto’s eligibility criteria and complete registration approval with Communauto (i.e., prior file review);
Have access to a valid payment method (credit card) required by Communauto.
4. PRIZE DESCRIPTION

5 Communauto credits of $500 (before taxes) - valid until May 19, 2027
Applicable taxes are added to the credit, for a total value of $574.88 credited directly to the winner’s account.
This credit may be used to cover fees related to Communauto services (e.g., trips, memberships).
A $45 promo code, applicable to any new Liberté Plus membership or any other Economy plan, is also automatically offered to all contest participants. It cannot be combined with any other offer and is valid only once at sign-up. The discount has no expiry date.
5. PRIZE DRAW
Five random draws will be held on May 19 from all eligible entries received during the contest period.
Each selected entrant will win a $500 Communauto credit, subject to meeting all conditions set out in these rules.
The draws will be conducted by an Équiterre staff member at the organization’s offices, located at 50 Sainte-Catherine West Street, Suite 340, Montreal. The names and photos of the winners may be shared in Équiterre communications, subject to the winners’ approval. Winners will be notified by email during the week of the draw and will be informed of how to claim their prize.
If a selected entrant does not respond to Équiterre within 7 days of the notification email, Équiterre reserves the right to put the prize back into play and conduct a new draw among the contest participants.
6. GENERAL CONDITIONS
6.1. The prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be exchanged, refunded, transferred, or redeemed for cash. No substitutions will be allowed.
6.2. If it becomes impossible to award the prize exactly as described in these rules, the contest organizers reserve the right to substitute a prize or prize component of approximately equivalent value, at their sole discretion.
6.3. Any false statement by a participant will automatically result in disqualification from the contest.
6.4. Équiterre (through one of its representatives) may, at its sole discretion, require proof of identity from a participant or any other proof deemed necessary. Refusal to provide the requested proof will automatically result in disqualification.
6.5. The contest organizers disclaim all liability for any loss, damage, or bodily injury of any kind, including but not limited to:
Loss, theft, or corruption of computer or telephone software or data, including privacy breaches;
Fraudulent calls;
The inability of any person to participate in the contest for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to incorrect mailing or email addresses, computer or telephone malfunctions, or any other failure of online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; lost, late, incomplete, illegible or misdirected entries; bugs, service outages, hardware or software transmission failures or losses, transmission delays, or compromised transmitted data; Internet congestion or issues with any website, or any combination of the foregoing;
Damage to any person’s computer equipment resulting from the use or download of any contest-related content;
Loss, breakage, or misdelivery of prizes;
Loss, damage, defects, or inability to use the prize once awarded to the winner for any reason whatsoever.
6.6. You agree that in your use of social media or other platforms for this contest—including, without limitation, chat areas, registration, and the use of social media accounts, usernames, or group names—you will not use obscene, defamatory, or abusive language, or language that infringes any third party trademark, trade name, intellectual property right, or privacy right.
6.7. If Équiterre determines that any person has tampered with or misused any aspect of the contest, including but not limited to violating these rules, attempting to enter more than the permitted number of times, or acting in a way that disrupts the normal conduct of the contest, that person will be disqualified. Any person who enters or attempts to enter the contest using robotic, automatic, macro, programmed, third-party, or similar duplication methods will have such attempts voided and will be disqualified at Équiterre’s sole discretion.
6.8. Équiterre reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the contest at its sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to any virus, bug, or other factor beyond its control that compromises the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Équiterre reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
6.9. Personal information requested through the entry form is collected by Équiterre and used by Équiterre solely for the purposes of the contest, unless participants explicitly authorize Équiterre to contact them more broadly beyond the contest.
6.10. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of a participant, the authorized holder of the email account at the time the entry was submitted will be deemed to be the participant. The person assigned the email address for the domain associated with the submitted email address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that they are the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid email account.
6.11. By entering the contest, participants agree to comply with these rules and with decisions made by Équiterre. In addition, winners release Équiterre from any liability for any damages they may suffer as a result of accepting their prize and waive any recourse or legal action against Équiterre.
6.12. Participation in the contest, as well as participants’ consent to take part and comply with the Équiterre Contest rules, is governed by the laws of the province of Quebec and the applicable federal laws of Canada. By submitting their entry form, participants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec.
