“The future lies in renewable energies,” declared Mario Plourde, Cascade’s President and CEO and honorary president of Equiterre’s fifth Quebec City Benefit Cocktail, held at the Quebec National Assembly on September 27.

Nearly 300 guests, including hundreds of business and sustainable development leaders from 90 organizations and over 20 MNAs from all parties, demonstrated their commitment to renewable energies and sustainable development. Thanks to their support, Équiterre has raised $40,500 to fund important projects involving issues such as climate change, local organic food and eco-friendly transportation.

“This meeting of people of diverse backgrounds to discuss renewable energy shows the progress that’s been made in the last few years, especially in this time of energy transition,” said Équiterre’s Executive Director Sidney Ribaux.
