Montreal proud home to one-of-a-kind green building discovery centre

The first new construction in Quebec to obtain a LEED® Platinum rating and one of the few demonstration green buildings in the world, the Centre for Sustainable Development is a dynamic showcase featuring many of the best practices in contemporary construction. Want to know more about this "building of the future"?

Choose from one of the following options.

Guided tours for professionals

Tour the building in the company of guides who helped build it. Find out why the team chose the technologies they did and be one of the first to peruse emerging performance statistics. The focus is on the types of materials used in the construction. For more information, contact rleoto@equiterre.org

Public tours

Offered every Friday by student interns at Hydro-Québec, these free visits briefly present the building's most interesting features. Reservations required. Register online. (In French.)

Conferences and training workshops

Can't come to us? We'll come to you. Choose from our list of topics (in French only) or propose your own. Special rates for academic institutions. 

Self-guided discovery tour 

Open to the public free of charge, the Centre for Sustainable Development's self-guided discovery tour offers seven interactive terminals, nine information panels and a green-building material library. The tour is accessible from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. In French only. 

Virtual visit

Visit the Centre for Sustainable Development from the comfort of your own home thanks to our virtual visit (in French only). Come back often: new information on the building's performance is regularly added.
