Elizabeth Moses

Senior Environmental Rights and Justice Associate, Environmental Democracy Practice

Elizabeth Moses is a Senior Environmental Rights and Justice Associate in WRI's Center for Equitable Development. Liz advances the integration of gender and social equity priorities and the rights of poor and marginalized people to engage in equitable, transparent, inclusive, and accountable decision-making. She currently leads work on indigenous, land, and environmental defenders and manages a wide range of projects focused on water and air quality, government and corporate accountability, extractives and transition minerals, and strengthening implementation of environmental laws and policies.

Liz is a natural resource governance expert with more than 15 years of international and US based experience leading research, policy-analysis and civil society capacity building. She holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington and B.S. degrees in Psychology and Biology from Syracuse University.
