The UN Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio has resulted in a disappointing final declaration.
Citizen groups from around the world had viewed the meeting as a chance for world leaders to recommit to sustainability promises made in 1992.
It was seen as a chance to further the fight against both poverty and climate change.
But the results have fallen short of expectations, as environmentalist Steven Guilbeault explains in this short video.
