Our family farmers network going to Italy

Actu - RFF à Milan

Expo 2015 is being held in Milan on the inspiring theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.” The civil society and farmers' movement will be holding a parallel think-tank alongside the world fair. During the People's Expo, participants will be led to discussion on how agroecology fits into food sovereignty and the possible solutions to the food system crisis.

In Italy from June 3-6, Équiterre Deputy Director Isabelle St-Germain will be raising awareness about the alternative procurement and production approach Équiterre applies in its various projects. She'll give telling examples about alternative food networks, such as Équiterre's family farmers, the Épluche ta ville campaign, local organic procurement in institutions and fair-trade initiatives.

Thanks to this invitation by URGENCI, the international network for community supported agriculture, Ms. St-Germain will help further position Équiterre as a key player in agro-food innovation and connect with other inspiring organizations and potential future partners.
