Forty-some family farmers recently braved the rain to take part in the second of four visits between farms this season.
These visits give our farmers a chance to see how others operate. At Equiterre, we believe in the power of peer learning, especially for young farmers who are just starting out.
These visits are one of the many services we offer to the farmers in our family farmer network. We also offer:
- workshops on agricultural techniques (in the winter)
- management tools
- a price watch
Visits between farms are yet another reason to feel good about your organic basket. When you let a family farmer adopt you, you are helping to create learning opportunities for the next generation of sustainable farmers. Bravo!
